Access Roles - Contributor

Contributors can upload, edit, and organize content across projects. This role is best for freelancers and collaborators who work hands-on with content but don't manage people, share links, or workspace settings.

Access Roles - Contributor

Permissions:​

  • View and edit any permitted asset / project folder / workspace
  • Create folders; upload, organize, move, copy, rename, delete, and restore folders and assets
  • Manage versions and version history (add versions, set a version as main, detach versions)
  • Comment, reply, draw annotations, and attach files
  • Download and export comments and attachments
  • View, create, edit, and archive comment topics
  • Update asset status
  • Edit notes and custom metadata fields
  • View, upload, download, and edit subtitles
  • Export assets to external connections
  • Edit folder notifications (uploads, ingest, frequency)
  • View the invites and permissions list
  • View and copy external share links

Limitations:​

  • Cannot transcribe or translate subtitles
  • Cannot export subtitles or assets to MediaStore, or view assets in MediaStore
  • Cannot view Analytics
  • Cannot invite users, change user roles or expiration, or delete users
  • Cannot create, edit, or delete external share links (viewing and copying links are allowed)
  • Cannot edit asset protections
  • Cannot open Settings (Access management, Usage, Billing)
