Add subtitles

Generate subtitles from a video, or upload SRT, VTT, or DFXP files. Review the lines against the picture, compare up to three subtitle tracks with each other, and translate into other languages.

Generate subtitles​

  1. Select Generate subtitles
  2. If the video has more than one audio track, choose it under Audio
  3. Select the spoken language
  4. Under Service, keep the suggested provider, or switch to XL8, Speechmatics, or Amazon
  5. Select Generate

Generation usually takes several minutes.

When the transcription minutes on your plan are used up, Generate is unavailable. Review your plan on Billing and usage.

Upload a subtitle file​

For a vendor delivery or another finished file.

  1. On the Subtitles tab, select Upload subtitles
  2. Choose an SRT, VTT, or DFXP file
  3. Set Language
  4. Select Upload

If the video already has subtitles​

Open Manage subtitles to generate another track, translate one you have, or upload a file.

If the subtitle file is in the folder, attach it to the video. See Attach subtitles to a video.
